ART SHOW WITH STYLE
Fashion and art at La Pietra
A fashion show by Anne Namba will highlight La Pietra's second annual art show taking place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the school at 2933 Poni Moi Road.
Admission is free, and valet parking will be available.
The fashion show will take place at 10 a.m., featuring designs for men and women.
The art show will include sculpture, oils, watercolor, ceramics, wood carving and jewelry from more than 40 local artists, with half of the sale proceeds benefiting La Pietra.
La Pietra's mission is to provide an exemplary education to approximately 250 girls who represent Hawaii's ethnic and socioeconomic diversity. More than 40 percent of the students receive some form of financial assistance.

Harajuku lovers rejoice in style
Head to Bar 35 Saturday night for Harajuku Lovers Live at 35. Where else in Hawaii can you show up dressed Harajuku-style without being deemed a freak? What's more, you could win prizes in a hair and makeup competition with the winner featured in the online publication Hawaii Red magazine.
Ulupono salon, W Salon, and Sanctuary Salon will be in the house from 9 p.m., with animation videos screening all night long. A photographer will also be on site to immortalize all.

Back-to-school at Windward Mall
Pick up back-to-school fashion ideas and maybe win some prizes at "Endless Summer at Windward Mall" noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, co-sponsored by Sassy and G Magazine.
The event's highlight will be fashion show of fall must-haves from Celebrity Tuxedos, Get Wet!, Hot Topic, Icing by Claire's, Jeans Warehouse, Lids, Lil' Miss Trend-E, SKIN Industries and T&C Surf.
There will be several giveaways during the day, including a grand prize of a T&C Surfboard shaped by Glenn Pang (valued at $500), while the second grand prize is an Apple iPod touch (valued at $299).
Entry forms will be available at Center Court from noon to 1:40 p.m. The contest, open to 13 and older, begins at 1:50 p.m. and participants must be present to win. Visit www.windwardmall.com for official rules. Minors must have parents or guardians sign prize documentation to receive prizes.
Macy's now home to PIKO activewear
Macy's Hawaii has introduced PIKO to its Ala Moana, Pearlridge and Waikiki stores.
PIKO is an active lifestyle casual wear brand incorporates graphic trends with the latest silhouettes geared toward sun, sand and surf worshippers.
To mark the occasion, PIKO and Macy's are co-sponsoring the China Uemura 24th annual Longboard Surfing Classic taking place tomorrow through Sunday at Waikiki beach. The competition, featuring kids, amateurs and professionals, will benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children in Honolulu.
