Hawaii Red Cross elects board
The Hawaii State Chapter of the American Red Cross elected the following members to its board of directors: Norman Chong
(Arcadia Retirement Residence), Chuck Cotton
(Clear Channel Radio Hawaii), Dale Goya
(Sprint Hawaii), Tertia Freas
(Deloitte & Touche), Scott Higashi
(Prudential Locations), Stanley Kuriyama
(A&B Properties Inc.), Dew-Anne Langcaon
(Hookele), Brian Tatsumura
(Nordstrom Ala Moana) and Robert Whiting
(Holy Nativity School).
Officers for 2008-09 are: Chairman William Wilson (Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co.), Vice-Chairman Peter Ho (Bank of Hawaii), Secretary Patrick Kobayashi (Kobayashi Group) and Tertia Freas.
Hale Kipa was given a $50,000 grant by the First Hawaiian Bank Foundation for the construction of the Hale Kipa Services Center in Ewa Beach.
The center will consist of a multipurpose education/administration building and up to six residential shelters for runaways and homeless youth.
