According to Joe
Joe Gedan
|
The price isn't right
Rail will favor only a few
At the cost of a couple of billion.
If it grows the cost will accrue
It could rise to perhaps a zillion.
It's not a price we can afford.
Unless suffering from fiscal atrophy.
If we do proceed, we should award
A white elephant as the mayor's trophy.
Daily headlines inspire the poet in Joe Gedan, a retired U.S. magistrate judge who lives in Honolulu. His observations on the news appear on Sundays and Fridays.
