» Leila Staniec was administrative assistant of Lucy Henriques Medical Center when it merged with North Hawaii Community Hospital in 1999. She became director of community relations and volunteer services, a position she held until she resigned May 16. A Page A6 article July 9 had incorrect information.

» The University of Hawaii Foundation paid the travel costs for three family members of foundation employees, according to Bill King, chief financial officer of the foundation. A Page A6 article Monday said the family members were the daughter and grandchildren of then-UH defensive coach Greg McMackin.

» James Espiritu, 41, a motorcycle accident victim on Kauai, moved to Kauai from Oahu two weeks ago. A Newswatch item on Page A3 in yesterday’s morning edition said he moved to Oahu from Kekaha, Kauai, two weeks ago.

» The Star-Bulletin won nine first-place awards Friday from the Society of Professional Journalists-Hawaii chapter. A Page A15 article Sunday said the paper won 10.

» Rod Haraga, former state transportation director, works for the city’s Department of Design and Construction. A Page A3 article yesterday said he works for the city Transportation Services Department. Also, Senate President Colleen Hanabusa did not sign a petition initiative to stop the project; the article reported that she had.
