Seminar teaches how to connect with people's faith

Jerry Larson, a church pastor in Spokane, Wash., for 40 years, is holding free seminars tomorrow and July 20 on "Lifestyle Evangelism, Through Gentle Persuasion," sponsored by Waialae Baptist Church's Waterhouse Lecture Series.

Tomorrow he speaks at the North Shore Christian Fellowship, 66-437 Kamehameha Highway in Haleiwa, from 4 to 8:30 p.m., and at the same time on July 20 at the Waialae Baptist Church, 1047 21st Ave. in Kahala. Larson will also preach at the morning worship services of both churches.

Registration is required by calling Suzanne Maurer, program director of the Waterhouse Lecture Series, at 732-5561, ext. 204; or e-mailing waterhouselecture@gmail.com.

Scholarships are available for the $10 workbooks. Free child care and a free dinner will be provided.

Larson's seminars, through His Touch Ministries, focus on motivating and teaching the average person in the pew how to get involved in people's lives and be able to express their faith in a way that is appealing and encouraging to others. He has conducted these Lifestyle Evangelism seminars throughout the Pacific Northwest for the past four years.

The New Testament Bible will be available for $3. Larson has sold more than 75,000 copies as a result of these seminars, Maurer said.
