Hawaii's trio of golfers in the U.S. Women's Open couldn't finish their rounds yesterday and will likely miss the cut once they complete the second round.
Following a 2-hour, 27-minute weather delay, Michelle Wie, Kimberly Kim and Cyd Okino were among 36 golfers still on the course at Interlachen Country Club in Edina, Minn., when play was suspended due to darkness.
Wie (10 over par) and Kim (8 over) were well off the cut line - assured of being 4-over 150 - with one hole left to play today. Okino was at 8 over with four holes remaining.
Wie tried to rally from an opening-round 81 but made three bogeys she couldn't afford after the rain delay and was 2 over for the round. Kim, playing the same group as Wie, was 4 over for the round when play was halted.
Okino was 2 over through 14 holes with two birdies to go with two bogeys and a double bogey.
