Hundreds of Korean War veterans, dignitaries, officials and residents turned out to honor the war dead yesterday, the 58th anniversary of the start of the Korean War, at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. Nick Nishimoto, front left, a prisoner during the war, and Francis Yasutake, a veteran of the war, held a wreath honoring Korean War POWs. Punchbowl memorializes 864 U.S. servicemen missing in action during the conflict.
