California-based punk band Left Alone returns to Hawaii for three shows this weekend, starting on Friday at Kainoa's in Haleiwa, where they'll be joined by local openers Upstanding Youth and Black Square. Led by frontman Elvis Cortez (pictured), the band will continue at Anna's on Saturday with an all-ages show at 6 p.m. (Release, Laces Out and Black Square will open). A 21-and-over concert follows, with Commando, Mistermeaner and the 86List set to open.

Kumu Kahua Theatre presents its annual "Kala-Bash Fundraiser and Silent Auction" this weekend, from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the park adjacent to KKT on Merchant Street. The party celebrates the launch of Kumu Kahua's 35th anniversary season, with live music scheduled and a full lineup of prizes set for the silent auction.
