Luke Schmidt, 8, was framed through the front wheel of a custom motorcycle Saturday during the Build the Track! Car Show at Aloha Tower Marketplace. The show was put on in conjunction with the Oahu Motorsports Advisory Council, Subaru Dealers of Hawaii and Firestone Tires. OMAC Chairman Michael Kitchens stressed that it was a not-for-profit event meant to build support for building a racetrack: "The purpose of this show is to raise the awareness level our situation and to support the existing efforts to construct temporary and permanent facilities for our youth and our communities."
