HILux anniversary
Dennis Francis, left, president and CEO of HILuxury magazine, welcomed Donna Waldon, Jackie Takeshita and John Geppert, vice president of Tiffany Oahu, to the magazine's first-anniversary party June 2 at Ruth's Chris Steak House on Waikiki Beach Walk. HILuxury bought out the restaurant for the night, and guests enjoyed three hours of specialty cocktails, conversation and Ruth's Chris' heavy pupus. All the guests went home with stylish black HILuxury gift bags, and two lucky guys also won gorgeous gear from Louis Vuitton and Gucci.

Ruff said afterward that he was very happy with the locally produced Louis Vuitton summer fashion spread, "Life of Louis," in the current issue of the magazine.

Ruth Ann Becker, left, and Halekulani PR wiz Erika Kauffman got VIP treatment from Ruth's Chris server Brandon Kapahua. When they mentioned that the Ruth's Chris hot beef "Slider" sandwiches looked a bit large for dainty eating, he returned seconds later with a plate of half-sandwiches cut to order for them.
