An ÄúushioniÄù from the Uwajima Ushioni Hozonkai dropped its head over the crowd yesterday during the 29th Annual Pan-
Pacific Festival parade down Kalakaua Avenue. The ushioni is a large, bull-like costume worn by a team of bearers. The parade capped off a weekend of events that featured cultural exhibitions, including the songs, dances and traditions of the people of Japan, Hawaii and the Pacific Basin.
