» Dane Sardinha (Kamehameha) went 4-for-6 and drove in three runs on Thursday. Sardinha's RBI single tied the game at 10 in the ninth. The Mud Hens then scored three runs in the 11th to defeat Louisville.
» Kila Kaaihue (Iolani) is the talk of Double-A Northwest Arkansas as he continues to lead the Naturals in home runs (13) and RBIs (39). An article on Kaaihue can be found on the Web at: www.arkansasbusiness.com/sports_article.asp?aID=105678.30276.117795.
» Bronson Sardinha (Kamehameha) is hitting .391 (9-for-23) with men in scoring position and .462 (6-for-13) with runners in scoring position and two outs since being demoted to Double-A Akron. Sardinha is on a nine-game hitting streak, during which he is 11-for-44 with 14 RBIs.
» Duke Sardinha (Kamehameha) announced his retirement following Thursday's game against Double-A Springfield. Sardinha was batting .176 with four runs and four RBIs for Double-A Tulsa.
» The Buffalo Bisons, Cleveland's Triple-A affiliate, transferred Reid Santos (Castle) to Double-A Akron to make room for RHP Jeff Stevens. Santos joins fellow Hawaii products Brandon Chaves and the recently demoted Bronson Sardinha in Akron. Santos was 2-2 with a 7.20 ERA in 16 games with Buffalo.
» Matt Inouye (Mid-Pacific, Hawaii) extended his hitting streak to nine games with a 1-for-3 performance yesterday for Single-A Kannapolis.
» The Los Angeles Dodgers organization transferred catcher Esteban Lopez (Hawaii) to Advanced Single-A Inland Empire from Low Single-A Great Lakes. Lopez played only three games for Great Lakes this season.
» Justin Frash (Hawaii) was added to Single-A Kane County's active roster on May 25 and debuted with the Cougars on May 29. Frash hit his first professional home run in an 8-6 loss to the Beloit Snappers on Thursday.
» Mark Rodrigues (Kauai, Hawaii) was recalled from extended spring training by the Single-A Kinston Indians on Wednesday. Rodrigues pitched two scoreless innings in his debut against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans on Friday.
» The Fort Wayne Wizards, San Diego's Single-A affiliate, reassigned relief pitcher Tyler Davis (Hawaii) to Single-A short-season Eugene on Wednesday. The Eugene Emeralds open their season on June 17.
» Mark Okano (Aiea) is batting .385 and is second in the independent Golden Baseball League with six home runs while playing for the Orange County Flyers. Teammate Gered Mochizuki (Baldwin) was released last Sunday.
