Best-of-five down, but not out
Best-of-five just won't die.
Though a proposal to extend volleyball matches from a best-of-three to a best-of-five format died in committee, voters in general assembly will get a chance to approve the measure today at the Hawaii Interscholastic Athletic Directors Association conference at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott.
If the proposal, which will be presented in minority report, passes today, the Hawaii High School Athletic Association executive board could approve best-of-five for the upcoming school year. Girls volleyball season begins in two months.
