Wilson qualifies for U.S. Open

Dean Wilson will be playing in the U.S. Open again.
The former Kaneohe native qualified for the prestigious tournament yesterday after he carded a 36-hole total of 137 in a sectional qualifier in Ohio.
No so fortunate was Punahou alum Parker McLachlin.
McLachlin finished 36 holes at 145.
The top 23 earned trips to Torrey Pines for the U.S. Open. Carl Pettersson was the medalist at 131, followed by Bart Bryant three shots back at 134.
Other notables who qualified included Davis Love III, Pat Perez, Ben Crane, Joe Ogilvie, Nick Watney and Jesper Parnevik.
