» Kurt Suzuki (Baldwin) was dropped from the leadoff spot Wednesday after going hitless in 20 straight at-bats. He went 0-for-3 that day out of the eight spot, got Thursday off, then singled Friday in his first at-bat of the season hitting sixth. Suzuki hit .200 out of the leadoff spot, dropping his season average to .243. Worse, he drew only one walk during the hitless streak, which spanned five-plus games.
» Shane Victorino (St. Anthony) hit his first home run of the season Thursday. He is tied with Jayson Werth for the team lead with six stolen bases.
» Dane Sardinha (Kamehameha) led off the top of the ninth inning Monday with a home run off Jason Childers, giving the Toledo Mud Hens a 6-5 win over the Charlotte Knights.
» Kila Kaaihue (Iolani), who leads the Northwest Arkansas Travelers in home runs (10) and runs batted in (29), has not played since injuring his back while sliding into second base Monday.
