Kurt Suzuki (Baldwin) hit his first home run of the season on Wednesday, a two-run shot off Baltimore starter Jeremy Guthrie. He is now enjoying a nine-game hitting streak, the longest of his career.
Shane Victorino (St. Anthony) is hitting .333 (14-for-42) since coming off the disabled list, including a pair of hits off Cy Young winner Brandon Webb of the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Victorino was 0-for-5 against him in his career before that.
Benny Agbayani (Saint Louis, Hawaii Pacific) will appear in a documentary chronicling Chiba Lotte Marines manager Bobby Valentine and the team's 2007 season. The film will be shown on ESPN2 on May 13.
Duke Sardinha (Kamehameha) hit his first home run of the season in the seventh inning on Sunday but struck out with the potential tying run on first in the eighth.
Kila Kaaihue (Iolani) leads the Texas League with 10 home runs in 92 at-bats, but eight of them have come in The Naturals' Arvest Ballpark. "There nothing I can put my finger on that makes me hit better here," Kaaihue told the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. "I don't know, I just like this place."
Keoni De Renne (Iolani) was charged with three errors on back-to-back plays in the York Revolution's 8-6 loss to the Bridgeport Bluefish on May 7. De Renne, who had made only two errors in 11 games as the team's shortstop, booted a grounder by Alex prieto that allowed the go-ahead run score in the eighth inning then allowed two more to come home when he mishandled a ground ball on the next pitch and threw the ball wildly to second base.
