Hokulani Elementary School held its annual Spring Fling fundraising event yesterday to support various enrichment programs. Food, games, activities and more provided fun for everyone. Kindergarten student Ellika Malik, 5, played a game of cat and mouse with her peers on a parachute.

An attempt to create the world's longest lei was successful yesterday at Kapiolani Park during Lei Day festivities. Takayoshi Kawada, visiting from Japan, took a close-up photo of the lei, which when finished measured more then 1 mile long.
