ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Corey Yuh Pearl City baseball

The senior left-hander fired a four-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and no walks against Castle, then went 3-for-4 with three RBIs in the OIA final against Kailua.

Sarah Robinson Moanalua softball

She struck out 13 and went 2-for-4 in a win over Kalaheo, and she also struck out 11 in a two-hit shutout of Castle.

» R.J. Van Ness, Kahuku: went 3-for-4 against Waialua and went the distance on the mound to beat Kalaheo.

GOLF

» Bryson Watabu, Aiea: won the OIA boys individual championship in a playoff over Kaiser's Nick Kim at Leilehua Golf Course after both tied at 5-over 147.
» Kristina Merkle, Moanalua: finished at 4-under 138 to win the OIA girls individual championship by 12 strokes at Leilehua Golf Course.

» Lauren Fujisaki, Pearl City: went 3-for-4 with two runs against Aiea
» Jen Hamamoto, Mid-Pacific: went 4-for-4 with two RBIs against Punahou
» Jaelleen Johnson, Kailua: fired a three-hit shutout against Kaimuki
» Tehani Kaaihue, Kapolei: went 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs against Waipahu
» Kala Lewis, Anuenue: went 3-for-4 against Kahuku

TRACK AND FIELD

» Trace Brown, Moanalua: won the 100 dash and high jump at the Last Chance to Qualify Meet
» Cecilia Durocher, Pearl City: won the 100 hurdles and long jump and placed second in the 300 hurdles at the Last Chance to Qualify Meet; also won the pole vault and placed third in the triple jump at the Punahou Relays
» Chelsea Irvine, Castle: won the 100 dash and 300 hurdles and placed second in the 200 dash at the Last Chance to Qualify Meet.
» Christopher Rainey, Radford: anchored the winning 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams at the Punahou Relays
» Lahaina Zoller, Punahou: anchored the winning 4x200 and 4x800 teams at the Punahou Relays
