Fifth-graders from Maemae Elementary School including Sarah Lau, front left, Josiah Smith Kyle Char and Brent Quackenbush stared at a vial of pea DNA during a demonstration that posed the question: "Can you see DNA?" The cell walls of peas had been broken down by meat tenderizer, liberating their DNA.
