More than 1,100 Oahu students performed with the Honolulu Symphony at Blaisdell Concert Hall yesterday in the Communities LinkUP! Concert, the culmination of a music education program of the Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall. Maestro Stuart Chafetz was surrounded by students from the Island Pacific Academy. The program featured works by Haydn, Ives, Elgar, Beethoven and a medley of traditional Hawaiian melodies.
