Annual purse auction benefits Junior League
Those with a passion for purses might want to head to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Tapa Ballroom on Saturday, where the Junior League of Honolulu is hosting its annual "Sacs in the City" fundraiser lunch and silent auction event, showcasing a variety of sacs and exclusive and designer handbags.
The event, themed "Get Carried Away!," will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It will feature a fashion show by Shanghai Tang, and offered up for auction will be purses from Prada, Celine, Michael Kors, Burberry and more.
Tickets are $95, with all proceeds benefiting the Junior League of Honolulu to fund projects that benefit the community. Visit www.juniorleagueofhonolulu.org for more information.

Among the "sacs" up for auction Saturday will be Celine's Nautil large satchel in crinkled patent leather, valued at $850, and Kate Spade's Miramar Minu clutch in Kelly green, valued at $225.

Tickets available for Kathy Griffin, EW&F
Tickets go on sale today and tomorrow for two May shows from promoter Tom Moffatt.
Tickets for comedian Kathy Griffin Waikiki Shell go on sale May 24 with $30 general admission, and $47.50 and $55 for reserved seating.. The Emmy award-winning Chicago native is known for her Bravo comedy specials and the reality series "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List."
On May 27, Earth, Wind & Fire plays the Blaisdell Arena, as part of the legendary soul band's Beyond the Elements Tour. Returning after a six-year absence from that venue, the band features original members Philip Bailey, Verdine White and Ralph Johnson.
The EW&F concert tickets go on sale tomorrow, at $55 and $65.
