Kurt Suzuki collects 4 hits in A’s win

Staff and wire reports

Baldwin High product Kurt Suzuki went 4-for-4 and drove in a run last night, helping the Oakland Athletics edge the Chicago White Sox 2-1 on the road.

It was Suzuki's first four-hit effort since being called up to the big leagues last July. His RBI single in the fourth inning off Mark Buehrle snapped a string of 22 scoreless innings pitched by the White Sox.

Suzuki and the A's improved to 9-5 overall for their best start through 14 games since opening 10-4 in 1992. Suzuki has started every game except one.
