Buffanblu roll over Monarchs

The Punahou bats caught fire early, scoring eight runs in the games' first two innings en route to a 14-5 blowout victory over Damien yesterday at Ala Wai Community Park.

Buffanblu starting pitcher Paul Snieder started the hit parade, lining a two-run double to right-center in the first inning. Sneider also pitched five solid innings before Reece Kiriu relieved him in the sixth.

Matt Suiter tore up the basepaths for Punahou (9-4), stealing three bags and scoring four runs.

Travis Derby went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs to lead Damien (4-11).
