Hailing from San Diego, by way of Fairless Hills, Penn., Mike Pinto has spent much of the last decade making his own style of music that blends reggae, ska, dub and Latin rhythms on his acoustic guitar. He arrives in Honolulu this week to perform in support his 2005 release, "Little District."
Cover is $10 on Saturday for the 21-and-over crowd, with $2 beer specials all night.

Local promoter Certified Entertainment presents a new option in Kalihi for fans of local hip-hop.
"The Official Certified Party" will feature MC battles and beat showcases, live performances and DJ Jonathan spinning a mix of hip-hop, house and reggaeton. Doors open at 9 p.m., with no dress code and $4 domestic beers all night.
