Jason Mraz tickets going on sale
Star-Bulletin staff
Tickets go on sale Saturday for Jason Mraz's performance May 2 at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.
The singer-songwriter's profile grew with his 2005 Grammy-nominated album "Mr. A-Z," and the hit "Wordplay." Mraz is coming off of a break to promote a new album coming out May 20 called "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things." The leadoff single will be "I'm Yours" (which was leaked on the Internet a few years ago in demo form) and the album will feature a duet with Colbie Caillat on the song "Lucky" and British sensation James Morrison guesting on "Details in the Fabric."
His opening guest will be Paula Fuga, coming off of her appearance at this year's Kokua Festival.
Tickets are $25, $30 and $35, and will be available at the Blaisdell Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets including Times Supermarkets, charge-by-phone at (877) 750-4400, and online at ticketmaster.com.
Mraz will also play May 1 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center's Castle Theatre just previous to the Honolulu gig. Tickets go on sale for that show starting April 11 at the MACC box office, charge-by-phone at (808) 242-7469 and online at mauiarts.org. Ticket prices are the same as the Honolulu show.
