Sheri Tochiki, 11, accepted money from customer Kallie Matsuura-Chang, 3, yesterday in an event sponsored by the Children's Discovery Center at Kakaako Gateway Park. Sheri had gathered up items from her newborn days to the present to sell at the Keiki Swap Meet, which was designed to teach children the value of money, with sellers responsible for collecting all their items for sale, pricing each item and handling the cash transactions.

Fourteen-month-old Travis Engstrom found an egg while holding his mother Denise's hand yesterday during an Easter egg hunt at the Halawa Xeriscape Garden in Halawa Valley. Keiki and parents decorated eggs in an environmentally friendly way before going out to hunt them in different age groups.
