TRUCK'S LOAD NICKS H-1 OVERPASS DENNIS ODA / DODA@STARBULLETIN.COM
State officials closed two westbound lanes of the H-1 freeway yesterday after an excavator on a truck from Henry's Equipment Rental and Sales hit the Gulick Avenue overpass in town, said Department of Transportation spokesman Scott Ishikawa. Some debris fell and the overpass was slightly damaged, he said, but no one was injured. Both lanes reopened in about 2 1/2 hours at 10:30 a.m. An investigation will begin Monday, Ishikawa said. Above, traffic backed up as workers cleaned up the debris.
