Smart to sing at gala honoring the founder of Parker Ranch
Stefanie Smart will attend the Western Heritage Awards gala April 12 in Oklahoma City, representing the Smart Parker Ranch family along with her brother,
Parker Smart, and cousin,
Willow Smart. They are the grandchildren of
Richard Smart, the last Parker family member to own the Ranch. Their ancestor,
John Palmer Parker, will be inducted into the Hall of Great Westerners. Stefanie, who stars in local musical theater productions, has been asked to sing the national anthem at the gala and is honored to do so. ...La Pietra's annual Hoopla fundraiser was held at the Royal Hawaiian's Monarch Room last Saturday. Hoopla Hoe was the Hawaiian theme. A hand-crafted koa paddle by artist and waterman Sam Clemens, with one of his carved tikis at the top of the paddle, was a prized auction item that went for $1,700.
