According to Joe
Joe Gedan
|
Who are the chosen people?
We are chosen to live in peace
Not to glorify the terrible wars.
Then stumbling past our destiny
Tell us what're we fighting for.
Are we on a different road?
What, in deed, were we chosen for?
Was there a misstep that we failed to see
That led us to that fateful fall?
Or are we marching to a different drummer
And slowly picking up the pace.
Tell us what is in store for us,
Are we the new master race?
Daily headlines inspire the poet in Joe Gedan, a retired U.S. magistrate judge who lives in Honolulu. His observations on the news appear on Sundays and Fridays.
