Kailua baseball opens by beating Moanalua

Pitcher Reyn Matsuki hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning and scattered five hits to lead Kailua past Moanalua 8-3 in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Red East baseball season opener at the Surfriders' home field.
Ryan Kinoshita had a double and a triple as part of a 3-for-4 night for the Surfriders.

Roosevelt punched out two hits in the victory.
