Winemakers on hand for a special dinner
Winemakers from three California vineyards will present their wines at a dinner March 10 at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Restaurant Row.
Robert Cook of Chalone Vineyard, Mike Westrick of Sterling Vineyard and Tom Rinaldi of Provenance Vineyard -- all in Napa Valley, Calif. -- will host the 6 p.m. dinner.
Chef Kyle Yonashiro's menu: Blackened Scallop (with Sterling Sauvignon Blanc 2005), Mini Crabtini (Chalone Chardonnay 2005), Steak Tartare (Chalone Pinot Noir 2005), Kobe Strip with Ziti and Cheese (Provenance Merlot 2004, Provenance Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 and Sterling Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 Reserve), and Chocolate Sin Cake (Provenance Merlot 2004).
