Events to delight any shopaholic
Here is a calendar of major Shop a Le'a events. Note that events are free with the exception of select functions that require an invitation or a paid ticket benefiting a charity. Events are subject to change. For updates, visit www.ShopaLea.com:
» Tuesday: "Celebration of Luxury" with more than two-dozen luxury boutiques offering trunk shows and drawings. Enter a drawing at the boutiques that day to win a $5,000 shopping spree, lunch at Mariposa and limousine service for transporting your couture shopping finds.
» Wednesday: Nordstrom grand-opening fete to benefit Bishop Museum, Hawaii Theatre Center and HUGS. The highlight is a tented, full-scale runway fashion show featuring American and European designer collections, including Tory Burch, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Roberto Cavalli. Tickets are nearly sold out at $150; call 723-1879.

Those traveling from the neighbor islands to participate in Shop a Le'a events will find easy accommodations via ResortQuest event packages.
