Buddhist monks from Bhutan performed sacred Buddhist ritual dances called "cham" yesterday at Thomas Square. The performance was part of the opening ceremony for "The Sacred Arts of Bhutan," a new exhibit at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.

Kamehameha Schools Association of Teachers and Parents hosted the 78th Annual Ho'olaule'a at the Kapalama Campus yesterday. MaileGinger Ripp, left, received a haku lei from her aunty, Glee Stormont, who purchased it in a lei booth. Ripp is a Kamehameha graduate, class of 1999.
