Abortions not covered by VA health benefits

Question: What health benefits and services are not covered by the Department of Veterans Affairs?

Answer: Abortions and abortion counseling; in-vitro fertilization; drugs, biological and medical devices not approved by the Food and Drug Administration unless the treating medical facility is conducting formal clinical trials under an investigational-device exemption or an investigational new drug application, or the drugs, biologicals, or medical devices are prescribed under a compassionate-use exemption; gender alterations; hospital and outpatient care for a veteran who is either a patient or inmate in an institution of another government agency if that agency has a duty to give the care or services; and membership in spas and health clubs. Q: How may I change my direct deposit destination?

A: Call the toll-free number, 1-877-838-2778, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. Central time. Please be prepared to provide your new financial institution's nine-digit routing number, your new account number and type of account (checking or savings). You can mail your direct deposit request to: VA National Direct Deposit Center, Suite B, 125 S. Main St., Muskogee, OK 74401.
