BRIEF CASE
LITIGATION CAPABLE: A federal judge approved a class action lawsuit against Microsoft Corp. over labelling computers loaded with Windows XP as being capable of running the Vista operating system. Many of those "Windows Vista Capable" computers were not powerful enough to run all of Vista's features, including the much-touted "Aero" user interface.
HEDGE CARE: Citigroup Inc. agreed to provide $500 million in credit to one of its troubled hedge funds, the bank disclosed in a regulatory filing. The Citi-managed fund, known as Falcon, was brought onto the bank's books, which will increase the bank's assets and liabilities by about $10 billion.
