Hannemann jamboree Saturday
The 15th annual Mufi Hannemann Basketball Jamboree will take place Saturday at Manoa gym.
Hawaii's top young female basketball players will take part in the day-long, single-elimination tournament, which begins at 9 a.m.
Twenty-four teams in three divisions are scheduled to compete.
The public is invited and admission is free.
Weaver breaks own record at UW Open
Hawaii senior Meghan Weaver broke her school record in the shot put yesterday at the University of Washington Open Meet at Seattle.
Weaver's throw of 50 feet, 9 1/2 inches shattered the previous school record that she set two weeks ago. Weaver's mark moves her closer to earning a spot in the NCAA Indoor Championships next month.
Weaver was one of four UH athletes to win their respective events. Senior Thalia Amanakis won both the 60-meter hurdles (8.69) and the 400-meters (55.64). Junior Emily Sheppard (high jump) and senior Annett Wichmann (long jump) also won their events.
The Rainbow Wahine home to host the Terry Albritton Invitational Saturday.

Sea Warriors sweep Toros
The heavy-hitting Hawaii Pacific baseball team won both games of its doubleheader against Cal State Dominguez Hills last night, 7-3 and 12-9, at Hans L'Orange field.
The Toros pitchers were erratic throughout, allowing 16 walks.
Pitchers Daniel Cox and Royce Ebisu picked up wins for the Sea Warriors (6-0).
