Hurricanes move on in OIA playoffs after beating Mules

Mason Koa's 10 points led Kapolei past Leilehua 39-34 last night in the consolation bracket of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red basketball playoffs.
The teams were tied after three quarters, but the Hurricanes outscored the Mules 14-9 the rest of the way.
The Hurricanes face Kahuku on Saturday for the OIA's final state berth.

The game came down to the wire with ASSETS shooting two from the free-throw line with a chance to tie or win. However, George Cambra missed both, giving Lutheran the win.
The Lions face Christian Academy in the next round of the ILH boys Division II tournament at 5:30 p.m. tonight.
