Sean Carney remembers being one of the star-struck youngsters in the Stan Sheriff Center, watching the likes of Yuval Katz, Aaron Wilton and Sivan Leoni putting on a show in the mid-1990s for Hawaii volleyball fans.

"They were huge," the junior setter said. "And now to be in a position to be on the court, playing against them, is surreal.
"It's kind of cool to have watched them be where I wanted to be and now to be where they were."
Of the aforementioned trio, only Leoni is expected to be on the court tomorrow when the Warriors alumni take on the present-day varsity at 7 p.m. Others from UH's history scheduled to play include newest alumnus Dio Dante, as well as Kimo Tuyay, Maulia La Barre, Jake Muise and Eyal Zimet.
The annual event begins with a 4 p.m. match between two alumni teams of players from earlier decades.
No. 15 Hawaii is coming off last week's two losses at UC Santa Barbara. The Warriors host UCLA next week.
"I think having game-like conditions during a bye week is good for our young players," UH coach Mike Wilton said. "We always have good players on the alumni team who want to come back and school the young guys."
