The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life in the Universe
Chris Conybeare was surprised to find the Hawaii Cafe in Ulan Bator, Mongolia.
Francis Gaspar and his wife, Aileen, were in Pleasanton, Calif., when they spotted the Mahalo Grille.
The Hawaii Handweavers Hui was on a textile tour in Southeast Asia when they visited a village outside Luang Prabang, Laos. On the wall of the head weaver's studio was a photo of Diamond Head. The group writes that they had a little trouble explaining that the famous landmark is backward in the picture.
