Halekulani books Chef Oakes
Chef Nancy Oakes of Boulevard Restaurant in San Francisco shares her food and her outlook on cooking on Feb. 10 at the Halekulani, part of the resort's "Connoisseur Series."
Oakes, winner of the James Beard Foundation's award for Best Chef: California in 2001, earned her success in the competitive Bay Area market, at Alexis on Nob Hill and L'Avenue Restaurant, a 50-seat neighborhood bistro, before opening Boulevard.
Oakes' presentation, "Everything You've Always Wanted to Know About California Cuisine," takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Halekulani Ballroom, incorporating a lecture and Boulevard-Inspired brunch.
