Andrea Kia is surprised by 30 people at birthday party

Andrea Kia was bowled over Saturday evening when 30 people yelled "Surprise" as she entered the door of Daynin Dashefsky's Kahala home. Andrea's birthday was last Wednesday but her boyfriend, Joe Lieneweber, scheduled the surprise dinner party for Saturday. Joe did a terrific job with the help of former beauty queen Daynin and Lynn Crawley, a Nicole Kidman look-alike. Chef Nick Sayada prepared a scrumptious sit-down dinner. The youngest guest was Lynn and Dr. Eric Crawley's 2 1/2-month-old well-behaved baby, Skyler. Andrea is a broker with HomeQuest Realtors. Company owner Jack Ainlay attended with his wife Carky. Joseph Calcara and his wife, the former Lureen Miller of Waianae, traveled all the way from Vienna, Va., for the party. Calcara is soon-to-be named a deputy assistant secretary of the Army. "Andrea was my realtor when I bought and sold a home in Kaimuki," he said. Attorney Todd Rothbard flew in from Saratoga, Calif., for the event. He also hops in to play the Easter Bunny at the Hilton each year. Andrea's brother, John Clivio and his wife, Cindy, had to be there. Other guests were Jackie Smythe, Clarence and Chris Ching, Howard and Lynn Wells, Mitchell Johnson and Jim and Shelly McGuinness ...

Chibi showed the star her ticket stubs for his shows here, going back to 1999. Publicist Lisa Josephsohn was dinner hostess and invited Chibi, a longtime friend, to help out ...

The Cavanaughs were there with fellow Oregon State assistant Danny Langsdorf and his wife, Michele. It was coach Langsdorf who donated a kidney to Laurie Cavanaugh last year. The Cavanaughs report that Laurie is feeling great and the transplanted kidney is performing as it should. Both Langsdorfs were star athletes at Linfield College in Oregon ...
