Third season of ‘Five-O’ is available
"Hawaii Five-0: The Complete Third Season" hits store shelves today.
All 24 episodes that originally ran between September 1970 and March 1971 are included in this six-disc set, and all are digitally remastered.
Highlights include episodes featuring Steve McGarrett's arch nemesis Wo Fat in "And a Time to Die..." and "F.O.B. Honolulu"; "Trouble in Mind," starring singer Nancy Wilson as a heroin addict; and "The Late John Louisiana," where a professional hit man (played by Don Stroud) falls in love with his intended victim.
"Over Fifty? Steal" is a rare comedic episode starring the late Hume Cronyn as a master of disguise; "Beautiful Screamer" features what might be James MacArthur's best performance, as Danno's girlfriend (Anne Archer) is killed; the late Star-Bulletin columnist Dave Donnelly has a small part in "To Kill or Be Killed," about the suspicious death of a Vietnam war hero.
Special features consist only of the original episode promos.
The box set retails for $49.99.

You do the math
Girls ages prekindergarten through fourth grade and their parents can have fun with math at Sacred Hearts Academy's Math Power Workshop.
Activities include measuring a child's height in apples, as seen above; sorting colored candies and then graphing the results; and building objects using mathematical principles.
The workshop will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Feb. 9 at the school. The class is free but reservations are recommended since space is limited. Call Renee Ortogero at 734-5058, ext. 262, or e-mail her at rortogero@sacredhearts.org.
