Vision and discovery
The best of the works from 12 months of Pacific New Media photgraphy classes are now on exhibit at Canon Photo Gallery in "Vision and Discovery."
Some 40 images by 11 student artists were selected by instructor Dana Forsberg with the help of colleagues, from courses that include "Photographing Children," "On Assignment," "Digital Imaging" and "Vision and Discovery."
Forsberg says the school's other photography offerings include technical classes that start as basic as how to work a camera, and as advanced as masking and layers.
Pacific New Media also offers a noncredit certification program, with courses held on weekends and evenings, that requires 130 hours of coursework. Individual courses average about six hours, Forsberg says.
"Vision and Discovery" continues through Jan. 30. Canon Photo Gallery is located at 210 Ward Ave., suite 200. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Call 522-5930.
