Brennan signs on with hometown agents
Former Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan has signed with the Rep 1 Sports Group agency based in his hometown of Irvine, Calif.
Cousins Bruce and Ryan Tollner are the agency's owning partners.
"I've signed the papers with the Tollner group," Brennan told the Star-Bulletin in a phone interview. "I'm comfortable with them and they have some good quarterbacks."
The Tollners count Ben Roethlisberger (Steelers), Trent Edwards (Bills), Mark Brunell (Redskins), Casey Bramlet (Dolphins), Jared Lorenzen (Giants), Ken Dorsey (Browns) and Matt Gutierrez (Patriots) among their clients.
Brennan, who was third in the Heisman Trophy voting, was scheduled to leave California today for Mobile, Ala., site of next Saturday's Senior Bowl. Brennan will be evaluated and interviewed by NFL coaches, scouts and executives in the practices leading up to the game.
Also, former Warriors receiver Jason Rivers is in today's East-West Shrine game. He is represented by former UH offensive lineman Leo Goeas.
