Rear Adm. Donna Crisp, incoming commander of the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command, handed off the JPAC flag to U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. Jackie Brown of JPAC, after receiving it from Navy Adm. Timothy Keating, head of the U.S. Pacific Command, on Friday during JPAC's change-of-command ceremony at Hickam Air Force Base. Crisp is taking command from Brig. Gen. Michael Flowers, who is retiring. JPAC's mission is to achieve a full accounting of U.S. servicemembers lost during previous conflicts.

2 brigades get new commanders
Two 25th Infantry Division brigades that recently returned from Iraq will get new commanders. Col. Walter Piatt will assume command of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team on Jan. 11, relieving Col. Patrick Stackpole. On the same day, Brig. Gen. James Nixon will become the 25th Division's deputy commanding general in charge of operations, relieving Brig. Gen. Michael Bednarek. Bednarek will become the next commanding general of U.S. Army Training Center and Fort Jackson in South Carolina.
On Jan. 17, Col. Mike Lundt will assume the leadership of the Combat Aviation Brigade, relieving Col. Thomas Ball.
Last Friday, Army Brig. Gen. Michael C. Flowers relinquished command of the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command to Rear Adm. Donna Crisp, who was director for manpower and personnel for the Joint Staff in Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach and was commissioned in 1974. This is her fourth assignment to Hawaii. Between 2002 and 2004, Crisp was on the staff of the Pacific Fleet. Flowers is retiring after 30 years of service.
At Hickam Air Force Base, Air Force Col. Daniel O. Wyman, command surgeon for Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.
