Resort donates $15,000 for bookmobile

The Turtle Bay Resort, managed by Benchmark Hospitality International, gave $15,000 to the Kahuku Public and School Library to purchase and operate a bookmobile.

Matthew Gambetta, vice president of the Pacific region for REIT Management and Research, was elected to the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific Foundation board.

He oversees management and leasing of about 400 acres of Oahu industrial lands, and acquisition and development of Hawaii and Pacific Rim opportunities for various publicly held real estate companies.

The Alexander & Baldwin Foundation donated $30,000 to Catholic Charities Hawaii to help build a permanent facility on Keeaumoku Street which would enable the expansion of services throughout the state. The nonprofit helps more than 40,000 in need annually.

The Jitsuo Yoshinori Trust gave $30,000 to Imua Family Services for the role it played in helping Yoshimori, a deceased Maui resident, to walk when he was a child.

For 60 years Imua has been providing therapeutic services to children and families in Maui and Lanai.
