Vulcans sign 2 to softball team
Hilo High School infielder Aisha Sueda and catcher Bryanna Hardy from California have signed to play softball for Hawaii-Hilo in 2009.
Sueda is a two-time All-Big Island Interscholastic Federation pick with solid defensive skills and a .500 batting average. Hardy, out of Grace Brethren High in Simi Valley, Calif., was a first-team all-league selection and named the MVP and top offensive and defensive player for the Lancers.
"Both will make an immediate impact with our program," Vulcans coach Callen Perreira said.
