Former UH-Manoa student leaders plan to gather for a reunion next month as part of the commemoration of the University of Hawaii centennial.
The Jan. 9 reunion, hosted by UH President David McClain and UH-Manoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw, will welcome alumni elected to the student Senate of the Associated Students of the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Expected attendees include state Supreme Court Justice Simeon Acoba, Jr., UH regent Michael Dahilig, Richard Kosaki, UH-West Oahu Chancellor Gene Awakuni, state Rep. Sylvia Luke, state Rep. Scott Saiki, state Rep. Mark Takai and current student body President Christina Stidman. Kosaki served as student body president from 1947 to 1948 and eventually became UH-Manoa chancellor.
