Sales of Top 5 recipes add $1,500 to Star-Bulletin holiday fund

Recipes hounds already have contributed more than $1,500 to the Star-Bulletin's holiday fund in exchange for the Top 5 recipes of 2007, as printed on these pages.

A problem with the office copier delayed things a bit, but all orders received through yesterday have been filled. And the offer's still good -- through Jan. 1.

For your set of recipes, send a check payable to the Good Neighbor Fund to: By Request, 7 Waterfront Plaza, Suite 210, Honolulu 96813. Include a stamped, self-addressed, legal-size envelope (it's hard to get all the pages inside smaller envelopes).

The recipes:

» Teriyaki Chicken, from the now-defunct Masu's Massive Plate Lunch
» Garlic Edamame from Side Street Inn
» Coffee Gelatin, a cool dessert from another generation
» Chinese Moon Cakes, with two fillings
» Simple Crusty Bread, the world's easiest loaf of yeast bread
