Calendar by Rehab patients is a beautiful work of art
Rehab Hospital's 2008 Art From the Heart calendar, featuring paintings by patients, is a fine piece of work. Some of the patients use a mouth-stick brush to paint because of their ailments, but viewers will be surprised at the high quality of their art work. The patient-artists are members of the Louis Vuitton Creative Arts Program, established in 1994, at the hospital. They say painting gives them a boost with their medical problems. The patient-artists are:
Virginia Hatfield, Patricia Ellard, Miles Sakaguchi, Fran Yamate, Rosemary Mattice, Peter Maaele, Alex Vicente, Morris Nakamura, Julia Mullock-Lee, Pearl Iwaida, John Tuan Le and
Dennis Okada ...
Matthew Gambetta, Pacific area veep for REIT Management and Research, has been elected to the Rehab Hospital board. Matt is married to Wahoo Tacos'
Stephanie Pietsch ...
